28TH INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP

THERMINIC 2022 – a resounding success!

Dublin, / September 28 – 30, 2022

With three keynotes, 37 presentations, 37 posters, an on-site industry exhibition and a short course, THERMINIC 2022 was truly an immersive experience for the 115 conference delegates participating. We are particularly pleased that the conference participants, representing 20 different countries, came from industry and academia in almost equal parts and, based on the networking observed on the conference floor and at the social events, it seems everyone went home with new contacts, insights, and inspiration.

Among the many highlights of the conference the conference dinner at the Guinness Storehouse stood out, with beer fans and aesthetes alike marveling at the architecture from bygone eras and the stunning panoramic view over the city.  

Our congratulations go to the winners of the Best Paper Award (Bernhard Wunderle et al. from TU Chemitz and Berliner Nanotest & Design), Best Poster Award (Wenguang Zhao et al. from Trinity College Dublin) and Best Young Presenter Award (Nooshin Karami et al. from Université de Sherbrooke, Canada). The awards were presented at the end of the conference by the chair of the award committee, John Janssen and the representative of the awards sponsor, Vadim Tsoi from Huawei. We would like to thank all participants for ensuring Therminic 2022 was such a resounding success and look forward to what will surely be another standout THERMINIC Workshop in Budapest next year.
